Turquoise - Jewelry

So, yesterday I blogged about Turquoise, rooms that is or items in rooms.  Today, I want to share my love and obsession with turquoise jewelry.   I tend to buy things that either tell a story or mean something......and occasionally just for the heck of it.  Most of my turquoise comes from my New Mexico travels, which are often handcrafted by the Native Americans.  They are truly such talented and gifted artisans.  I am always in awe of their creations.  This style of jewelry always makes me feel a bit bohemian and I like that!

Below are some modern designs that feature this timeless stone.  One is Kendra Scott, fellow Austin gal. Her designs are beautiful and sophisticated.  You can really find turquoise anywhere and I have featured Kendra Scott, Stella & Dot and of course Anthropologie.

Enjoy!!

A sampling of my favorite turquoise pieces.  Most of them are my treasures from Santa Fe over the years.

Bold Turquoise

There is something so calming about Turquoise.  I'm guessing it takes you to a tropical place with sandy beaches and deep turquoise waters.  I can hear the waves softly crashing when I look at these photos.  This is a color you shouldn't be afraid of whether in your home or in your wardrobe, its a classic - whatever shade of turquoise you choose.  Think Tiffany!

Project - Sneak Peek

I've been working on a new construction project for a little over a year now and I am excited to finally get to share some of the progress.  We began the project with a tennis court and clubhouse and once that was complete construction started on the main house.  The project has been somewhat of a Designer's dream in that the client has given me free reign on all selections - in keeping with the client's design style, of course.  The house is still not near completion but it is nice to see some of the more decorative elements going in.  Can't wait to share more!

Master Closet - my first major closet design - just a peek at the shoe shelves and island.

The three photos are of the two boy's rooms.

Patio Please

We have been spending a lot of time in our backyard these days.  The weather has been warm but breezy in the early evenings so we are taking full advantage before our short Spring turns to "fry-an-egg-on-the-pavement" Summer.

What a perfect little spot for outdoor entertaining and lounging.  I don't know what it is about a striped awning but I so love them and the poufs for extra seating.  I'm inspired!

What's Your Sign?

Zodiac Charms have arrived at Stella & Dot.  They are gorgeous!  I can't wait to get my Leo and add it to my charm necklace.  What do you think?

Objects of my Affection

Hello all!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  We had a little BBQ at our place on Saturday and got to enjoy some good food and good company.   I thought I'd share with you what I am crushing on as of late.  I love how these items are effortlessly simple and casual but very classy and timeless.  Enjoy!

Pretty In...

I love this little pink entry area by Jonathan Adler.  It is simple but has so much personality.  This photo reminds me that a little goes a long way and white accessories add modern freshness.  I don't know what I adore more, that clever little owl umbrella holder or the leggy giraffe.
